When the Timing is Right

When I first started this blog, I invited travel companions, like-minded and heart-centered friends, and family to join me in sharing their visions, trials, tribulations, successes, hopes, and dreams. I thought together we could build momentum toward a world of collaboration, co-creation, and thriving community.

After several years, no one I had extended the invitation to guest blog had sent me anything to share or post. Even I had a year of absence from posting upon my return from Costa Rica to the US and the busy, action-driven norms here. It seemed we were all too busy to take a few moments and remember the vision. The vision of co-existing, connecting, and contributing to a new paradigm in which we thrive instead of survive and live intentionally now as opposed to hoping for some future reward for succumbing to the reality we have been conditioned to adhere to.

While it may be different for each one of us, all the individuals I am describing had vocalized a desire for a simpler, more nourishing way of life. A life that includes connecting with loved ones regularly, enjoying a beautiful, rich, and thriving environment, and balancing the use of innovation and technology with the wise stewardship of the world beyond us. In short, I was inviting people fully immersed in the mainstream reality of our world to take time and energy to focus on the world we would like our children to inherit. And if it wasn’t too much to ask, a paradigm we could create in our lifetime as well.

But as the years went on, it seemed my vision only grew stronger while many others found it harder and harder to imagine that any real shift in the modern-day operating system was possible. Optimism succumb to skepticism, often labeled as being realistic, and the community I thought I was offering a platform on which to grow and develop remained one woman, me, sharing my personal expansion as a spiritual being, mother, writer, and human.

So here is the revised vision I offer you today. In the midst of our global pandemic, energetic evolution, and human transformation I wish to paint a picture of where I envision this powerful period guiding us. Imagine the systems of the present and past such as the economic, class, workforce, and social as mediums of growth and evolution. They are not meant to be carried on generation after generation for the next millennia. They are systems used to move us into alignment with a more advanced way of living and interacting with ourselves and the world around us. We feel imbalanced in living everyday to serve the economic and consumerist paradigm. Not because it is wrong, bad, inappropriate, evil, or the reality impeding our emerging new existence. These conditions are the catalyst that brings individuals back to a state of inquiry, self reflection, and inspired action. These feelings of restlessness, discomfort, and imbalance provide us the opportunity to develop an appreciation of the abundance that surrounds us tempered with the wisdom of moderation and conscious use of resources. We experience loss, pain, betrayal, tragedy, and separation to return us to our natural state of connection, love, openness, and oneness. We go through the challenges this physical reality lays before us like health conditions, distorted body image patterns, objectification, scarcity, and brutality to remind us of our infinite nature and interwoven relationship with all that is regardless of whether we believe in a higher power or not. We are cut from the same cloth and yet the pattern woven into this material world is as varied as Creation can imagine.

So here we are, the moment where integration meets wise action. The stage in our collective story in which so many characters realize that we are being invited into a different way of being in this place we call home. A simpler time. A gentler approach. A softer tone. A period in which we are reaffirming what we truly need and what has become the white noise of a society sprinting toward collapse. It is time to divert the time we spend consuming and reorient that energy into its wholesome expression of creation. There are a growing number of people who are ready to step out of the monetary-based survival system into a self-reliant and cooperative way of meeting their physical needs and being of service to their community. And I am not talking about toiling away in the fields everyday to produce food to sustain the human body. I am referring to the application of innovated technologies using sustainable methods to enrich our world and re-establish a balance in all areas of life. We do not need to choose between returning to a non-industrial era or succumbing to a disconnected technological one. This is a new paradigm in which we blend wholesome technologies with the wise implementation of resources and human ingenuity.

I have seen so many posts on social media from people who have been enjoying creative projects because of the absence of work and consumption-based activities. We may have lost many of our social outlets, but we are being given the gift of connecting with ourselves. We are reconnecting with our powers of purposeful contribution. And this is just the beginning, hopefully. Sure there is a chance we will go back to business as usual at some point in the future. But I have a feeling we will be moving in a different direction.

A direction of community gardens, economically and environmentally friendly housing blended with sustainable building materials and practices integrated into natural environments. A world in which we do not reserve beauty and well-being for the affluent privileged few, but understand it is a birthright and the inheritance of all people who walk this earth to have clean water, organic food, free energy, natural beauty, and pure air interwoven into a balanced lifestyles of work, play, exercise, service, education, empowerment, creative expression, and rest. The current systems, circumstances, and patterns of our culture and species are moving us into alignment with the next phase of human evolution. We are ready to implement some radical changes. The way-showers may be at the front of the pack, but more and more people are opening up to a solution they know they require to be happy and live a life of purpose.

Thrive Sanctuary was created to highlight and share a common dream.  To live sustainably in a thriving community close to nature with like-hearted companions who share similar values and goals. To offer this vision as a solution to the world at large for greater and greater levels of awareness and higher consciousness to blossom and flourish throughout the planet, our home. These values and goals center around sustainable living, personal empowerment and inner knowing, creative expression, joy and abundance, authenticity and integrity, and raising our families in a community environment.  Not just for the select few, but for everyone who feels drawn to this way of living regardless of race, sex, economic status, religion, or any other circumstance that divides and separates us.

As each one of us who resonates with this budding paradigm offer our own unique perspective to how those desires may manifest, we all share in bringing this passion into fruition collectively.  Please use this site and the Facebook page to connect with others, spread the idea to new friends, and build the vision of thriving today.

Much Love,
